ABOUT ME

Hi,

I am Monstroman (Denis Kandaurov), a freelance designer, illustrator, and digital artist specializing in creating doodles, logos, and much more.

Drawing has always been my passion, and I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I painted on literally everything in my parents’ house: walls, documents, paper, and anything a pencil or brush could reach. However, after graduating from high school, I chose to study at a technical university, which was five years of madness because there were too much mathematics and technical stuff.

Fortunately, in my third year, I returned to my old hobby and started drawing graffiti. The following year, I was already working and experimenting with graphic design editors – Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw. And for quite a long time, I worked on the design of websites, logos, and print, without engaging with the world of illustration.

So, as expected, I specialize in the creation of vivid illustrations, doodles, logos, and character design and development. After experimenting in the field of design and art, I finally found that my true calling is creating illustrations, especially monsters.

As you can guess from my name, I like monsters. This is an interesting and very broad topic that can be found in almost any area of human life. No, you will not see a sea of blood or cut-off body parts in my illustrations. I’m closer to the monsters from the animation movie Monsters, Inc.

I find inspiration in graffiti, animation, comics, vector graphics, and a couple dozen designers and artists that I won’t name here). But what inspires me the most is the fact that I really love what I do.

Note: Here, I should’ve mentioned my cooperation with major brands, prizes, and large exhibitions, but I won’t).
